Ndayishimiye Gerald (Gn Nephew), a Burundian born in a refugee camp in Lukole, Tanzania, was the 3rd artist in Burundi to be on the VEVO platform. Based in the US, he strives to put his country on the map. He released his 1st song, “Umugani” at the age of 15 with the artist MT Number One. His 2nd song, “summertime” was a smash hit throughout Burundi and became one of the first songs by a 15 yr old to be played on the radio. In addition to being a singer/songwriter, Gn Nephew is also a video producer, photographer, camera operator, and graphic designer.
