Jjokolera Mataali Group, Number 1 International Uganda, is a renowned Ugandan Mataali ensemble widely celebrated for its captivating performances and contributions to preserving traditional Islamic music and culture. The group was founded in the early 2000s but was later revived by Khalifa Twaha Katende, who also serves as the CEO and visionary leader. Since its inception, Jjokolera Mataali has grown into one of Uganda’s most respected Mataali groups, inspiring audiences with their devotion, discipline, and artistry.
