Champyon formerly Petit Champion,birth name Awatt Godwill Acharayim is an afropop/afrofusion artiste, song writer,and entrepreneur from Cameroon. He is the founder of AG (always good) Records created in 2016. He was born in Nyasoso in the Southwest Region of Cameroon into the home of a Pastor (of late).He is from Etoh-Ngie,Momo Division of the Northwest Region of Cameroon.He had his primary education at the Presbyterian Primary School Nsem-Bafut and his secondary school education at the Presbyterian Secondary School (P.S.S) Bafut.He then had his High School Education at The Cameroon Protestant College (C.P.C) Bali and Presbyterian Comprehensive High School (P.C.H.S) Kumbo.After his advance level certificate, he enrolled to study Accountancy with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with head quarters in Glasgow Scotland.



CAREER
His love for music started at a very young age.He started playing “djembe” (african percussion) in the church when he was 3years old.He was part of the school choir in his Secondary and high school days.
In 2010, Champyon then Petit Champion met Emil Ngumbah of M1 studios, Tembi Cornel and Salatiel in Buea,Cameroon to pursue a career in music. In November 2011, Champyon then Petit Champion released his debut single “C’EST ROULER" featuring Densy Larage and Rude Bway and produced by SALATIEL. It instantly became a hit and enjoyed rotations on channels across Africa and the world. Due to studies, Petit Champion took some time off music but returned with a new single “REPLAY” in 2014 featuring Rude Bway. Later same year, he released his third single ARRETEZ CA .In January 2015,Petit Champion released his debut album " NAISSANCE " made up of 7 tracks featuring artists Densy Larage and Rude Bway and songs produced by Salatiel Livenja Besong,Tembi Kornel , mixed and mastered by Emil Ngumbah. In January 2016, Champyon then Petit Champion released a new single "My Baby" and the video came out May same year.
In January 2017, Champyon then Petit Champion released another single "Man no be God" produced by Geega.
Validé another single by Champyon then Petit Champion and produced by Akwandor was released in September 2018.
In July 2019, he released another single Ensemble.
He returned to the music scenes after sometime off due to personal reasons in August 2022 with a single titled "ESPOIR" and a 6 tracks EP name "THE MESSIAH"
under his new name CHAMPYON.



ACHIEVEMENTS
In February 2016,Champyon then Petit Champion was awarded Best Video of 2015 for his song "DECEPTION" feat Densy Larage during the NEW BREED AFRICAN CELEBRITY AWARD held in BAMENDA - CAMEROON.
